‘Friendzoned’ is a short student film by Director Chuck Copeland. Chuck tells us the story of teen relationships, complete with the winding details and the long refrains in the shortest possible time. To accomplish this, he uses some oft used formats made popular by the mainstream to tell a lot of the story in the shortest possible time. Telling the mushy story of teenage relationships, the film never loses its dry sense of humour both in its writing and in the performance of its actors. The director puts together an engaging watch that keeps you glued to the screen till the end, even though you are aware of the outcome right from the very beginning.

‘Friendzoned’ is an observation of teenage relationship and how it could soon be the in thing to seek professional help to find ‘true love’. In a world where your acts on social media define who you are, and where your entire tweeting, posting life is out there for the world to browse through, you never know when your posts will come back to haunt you or become tools that others judge you with. The film ends with a sequence during the end credits that discuss the business models of future start-ups in the relationship space.
